**FYI – this review contains some spoilers so be cautious if you plan to read this book and don’t like things spoiled for you!

Secrets of the Heart is the 2nd book in a series by Willow Sanders. It can be read as stand-alone. This book follows the main character, Ivy, on her journey to find love and balance her career. Ivy is the daughter of a hot shot media mogul and after being used in the past by people to get to her father she has become cautious in relationships. Ivy ends up getting involved with a coworker even though the company has a no-fraternization policy and that relationship ends badly but not in the way you would assume. Ivy finds that things aren’t always as they seem as she deal with issues with her father (and digging up memories of her deceased mother) and finds love in an unexpected place.

I give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars. It had a cute story but I overall found it to be a little to “wordy.” It could have been condensed some and made a bigger impact. I was happy that it contained humor and that made it worth reading.
