Everything by Melissa Pearl is the 3rd book in the Songbird series. The books in this series can be read as stand-alone novels as the character overlaps are not crucial to the individual stories. I personally have not read either of the first 2 books in the series and I was able to follow along with installment just fine.
This was a cute story – albeit somewhat predictable. My biggest complaint would be the pace of the story – it started out with a bang, lulled a little in the middle, and finished strong. Leo was a likeable character but I would have liked more of a backstory from him. I would have also liked to find out in the epilogue what ended up happening with Stefan. Hopefully he got what he deserves.
Overall I did find it an enjoyable story. It was a really quick read so I will most likely pick up copies of the first two in the series at some point.
3 out of 5 stars. Again my biggest complaint was the pace but I would still recommend this book to others.
